"I was a student of Stevenson Studios throughout high school, pursued a degree in music education from TCU, and now teach elementary music in Fort Worth. To say Mrs. Stevenson had a profound influence on my musical journey is an understatement. She inspired me to grow mentally and musically in every lesson, and went the extra mile to make me feel welcome. There is never a dull moment in Stevenson Studios (Hey, Mrs. S...remember the tornado at our spring Trinity Terrace recital? Hehe!), whether that be preparing for auditions, recitals, or winter recordings. She is one of the funniest and kindest of all teachers, cares deeply for each of her students, and works to develop a lasting relationship. I was fortunate enough to take lessons with Mrs. S throughout my TMEA journey, and made the 2012 All-State Women’s Choir my senior year of high school. No matter where I was in my journey, she was there to mentor and coach me, be it NATS, TMEA, college auditions, or (in my case) college transfer auditions. Though I took lessons from her years ago, we have kept in contact, and I will always consider her to be a mentor and dear friend."

"As a former student of Mrs. Stevenson, I highly recommend taking voice lessons with her. Her ability to help you understand your voice and guide you towards healthy vocal development as a high schooler is second to none. She fostered in me a love for solo singing and set the stage for me to further advance that in college with another amazing vocal professor. Without her help, I would not be the same musician I am today!"
